I like hotel staff, all servises, including meal, are good. The room is comfortable, the bathroom include all things for hygiene, what I want.
Tryp Centro Norte has an excellent location to the train station. Although no places to have a good dinner close to the hotel.
It's proximity to the rail station. Having arrived after dark, it would have helped find the hotel if the lights of the name had all been working.
The hotel was central to the metro and train station. The pool looked very inviting but is only open for use between June and September
For only 15 eur I could have upgraded to a premier suite, which I would have immediately taken up if I was informed when checking in. Their system seemed to be giving them problems or their staff did not know how to use the computer program. This caused many delays. I requested a bucket of ice to be sent to my room and was informed they did not have ice buckets. I paid for tv, which only had the same 2 movies on repeatedly, no value for money and they tv reception was very bad. It did however look like they are upgrading the hotel, maybe when they have completed it will be better?
Ideal location for our visit
Many steep steps to entrance but if you enter from the apartment entrance no steps and hot food not served for dinner
Very close proximity to Charmartin underground station.
Poor customer service from hotel staff.
The location of the hotel is really very convenient
The efficiency of the welcome desk staff needs to be improved. There were really long queues forming constantly.
Late at night there were large groups of teenagers drinking just outside the hotel (botellon). That happened every other day, no problem for us though.
Large room, well furnished
There is a smoke alarm on the ceiling which flashes every 5 seconds. This is a bright red light directly above the bed. Avoid this hotel if you are a light sleeper! Internet is expensive and low bandwidth, sometimes no connection at all. Hotel is right by the station, in a half finished area surrounded by overhead roads and empty building sites. Not a comfortable area at night.
The location. NeXT to the metro. Good.
The access to the hotel by car is very difficult. There is no access to the hotel for handicapped. Even people with no limitations have to carry their suitcases up the stairs to get to the reception hall. Would not recommend ir to anyone.
The room was comfortable for the 4 members of the family.
On arriving, we found that the staff spoke little or no English. We had to park on the main street in public parking places, which required money put into meters between 9am and 3 pm, every 2 hours, there was no day pass for parking. Thus, as we planned to visit the wonderful Prado Museum, realistically, I would have had to come back every 2 hours to replenish the meter! As it was, we met a friendly traffic warden, who let us off. The staff said there was nothing else I could do. We decided to eat in the restaurant on the first night, very disappointing, as it was a buffet set out with 3/4 main meals, and desserts, and the food was of average quality. We ate in the old town for the rest of our stay. On one night, I went to the bar, and had to ask reception if someone was serving, eventually someone came, but on the second occasion, I was informed that the bar was closed, this was at 10.10pm!
Nice room for a family; convenient location.
Reception staff tend to look down on guests - poor instructions for simple things E.G. getting your car from one side of the hotel to the other.
It has an excellent location next to Chamartin station and it is easy to walk from the hotel to the train.
It is difficult to carry a suitcase up and down the steep steps. Isn´t it possible to have a stop for the lift at the bottom of the stairs? When I tried to ring the hotel to say that I would be arriving after 10pm no one answered. I tried 6 times. Perhaps the number I was given was incorrect but needs to be checked with the Booking Company.
The location just across from metro rnfe station, €25 in taxi from airport and only 20 minutes. The pool was nice also.
The food at the poolside bar was terrible and overpriced but there was a place next door that was fine.
Near the Univercity as we had to enroll my daughter there.
It was difficult getting up the entrance steps - they are too high. Parking was difficult.
